THE FIRST 4 MODULES ARE ALL ABOUT FOOD:
We start out healing your relationship with food. You will be learning everything you need to know to free yourself from emotional eating, binge eating, restriction, and obsessive thought patterns. You will learn to take care of your health without dieting, how to listen to your body, and become an intuitive eater.
THE NEXT 4 MODULES ARE ALL ABOUT BODY IMAGE:
Next, we focus on body image- you will learn practical skills for healing your body image, overcoming objections to body acceptance, how to cultivate self-love, and separate your worth from your weight. Plus we will be learning all about Body Wisdom, creating a strong connection between your body & mind. Plus get ready for a radical shift in perspective about bodies, weight, and self-worth.
THE LAST 4 MODULES ARE ALL ABOUT SOUL (AKA SELF):
Lastly, Soul is all about your relationship with yourself. Obsessing about food and your weight takes up so much time, energy, brain space, and identity, so when you've done the work to heal, now what? Who are you and who do you want to be? This is all about self-reflection, self-connection, self-compassion, and self-love. You will connect more deeply to who you truly are and learn to live a big, juicy life outside of food that is in alignment with your values!

— 12 PRE-RECORDED ONLINE COURSE MODULES
You will have lifetime access to the course curriculum that will help guide your healing journey. In addition to the recorded videos, there is homework and action items to put into practice to help facilitate your healing. It's not enough to learn the steps to heal, the homework helps you take the steps in your actual life! Each module includes additional resources and recommendations as well (books, podcasts, blogs posts, YouTube Videos etc.) in the event you want to immerse yourself more.

Each week of the program you will have a corresponding coaching call from a previous live round of the course. Listening to these calls and hearing the coaching in real-time is one of the best ways for you to apply it to your own life. These are worth the entire investment by themselves. You won't just be learning from me, you will also be learning from other experts in the Anti-diet and Intuitive Eating space. The workshops include: Eating Disorder Recovery with Dani Adriana, Body Confidence and Fashion with Carrie Dayton, and Body Image & Overcoming Anti-Fat Bias with Victoria Welsby. These are all pre-recorded and you can watch them on your own time.

During the last 4 modules, 3 of the group coaching call recordings include a 45 minute Breathwork session to help you integrate everything that you have been working on so that it goes from Intellectual Understanding to Embodied Knowing! It's one thing to understand concepts, it's an entirely different thing to live them and breathwork will help you do that. There are also pre-recorded breathwork sessions for stress and emotional eating that you can utilize at anytime to help you through this process.

Hey there Beauty, I'm Cara
As a Certified Health Coach and Breathwork Facilitator, I’m on a mission to help women heal their relationship w/ food, body & beyond. I am also the published author of three books, Body Wisdom, One Day at a Time, and Vegan Buddha Bowls.
But before I became the Cara you know today, I had a terrible relationship with food and my body.
I was stuck in a cycle where I would restrict or diet and then binge uncontrollably. Then I'd promise myself that "tomorrow will be different. I'll stick to my diet so hard and everything will be fine." But that never happened. It was always just a matter of time before I was knee-deep in a binge again.
I was obsessed with food, I hated my body and my self-esteem was so low because of it all.
Eventually, I got to a place where I said "enough is enough" and did the work necessary to truly make peace with food and my body so I could access the life that dieting promised, but never delivered. Once I committed to doing this work, my life unfolded in the most beautiful of ways.
Originally, I was terrified to release control by letting go of dieting, restriction and my endless pursuits of weight-loss. But loosening my grip on control didn’t actually result in my life falling apart...it resulted in it falling together.
Once the pieces fell into place and all the dots connected, I started coaching women like you through this healing journey. Since then I’ve guided hundreds of women to true self-love, self-worth, and inner peace. Is FBS a good fit for me?If you are someone who struggles with food, meaning you think about food A LOT, you have tried tons of diets or programs or lifestyle changes, but nothing seems to work for very long, FBS - The Academy is for you. What if I am afraid of weight gain and fear that if I gain more weight I will feel even worse about myself?I feel you on this, I’ve been there. The fear of weight gain is the biggest fear that keeps us stuck obsessing over food and from working towards food freedom. But the thing is, if you are living in fear of weight gain, that is THE reason to join, so you no longer have to live in this fear. When we detach our worth from our weight we take the power away from food. The fear of weight gain or the desire to lose weight does not need to go away before you can do this work or be a part of FBS - The Academy!

What if I feel like now is not the right time?Well, when is the right time? Do you know? If you don’t know, how long have you been putting THIS off and using “not the right time” as an excuse? What I know is, there is never really a right time, but rather, when we decide we want something we make the time for it. If you want to heal and are ready to commit to the work then now is the right time. And if you asked me, I’d say there is no coincidence that you’re reading this right now. I’d say it is your time.

When does FBS begin?The program beings when you enroll. It is fully self-paced.

What are the monthly themes?The first 4 modules are all about your relationship with food. Think: ending emotional eating, binge eating, yo-yo dieting, obsessively thinking about food. You will learn how to stop fighting food and become an intuitive eater. You will leave knowing how to take care of your heath without dieting. I encourage you do to one module a week. The work is most effective when you are consistent and engaged in the process. The next 4 modules are all about your relationship with your body. You will learn practical tools to help you heal your body image. You will overcome objections to body acceptance, and how to cultivate self-love and separate your worth from your weight. Plus get ready for a radical shift in perspective about bodies, weight, and self-worth. And the last 4 modules are soul, (aka Self): when your time, energy, brain space, and identity are no longer tied up with food and your weight, now what? So many of us don't know who we are without our food obsession, so this section is all about finding out. You will connect more deeply to who you truly are as well as who you want to be. You will be guided to to live a big, juicy life outside of food that is in alignment with your values.

What is the time commitment?There is roughly 2-3 hours of online course modules to watch + homework to work through. There are also recordings of coaching calls that are roughly 1.5-2 hours in length. So about 3-5 hours a week on average if you stay consistent with doing one module a week. You don't have to do 1 module a week, you can move slower, but the goal is for you to stay consistent with the work and implementing what you learn in your daily life. Outside of that, you can engage as little or as much as you’d like with the community and curriculum. Everything in FBS is self-paced and can be engaged with whenever it is best for you. All modules and calls are pre-recorded for you to watch on your own time.

Is it just for women?FBS was designed with any and all women, women-identifying and femmes in mind. If you're looking for a safe, welcoming curriculum and community where you can make peace with food, your body and connect more deeply to yourself, this is the place!

Will I get to connect with Cara in FBS?Yes! There are two forms of support. Once a month Cara will record a podcast episode answering your and other participants questions and post it in the course portal. Additionally, you will have email support from Cara through your enrollment. You can message any questions or share anything you want by emailing contactcaracarin@gmail.com

How do I access the community?The online course is through Teachable and you will create a log-in and password upon sign-up. Inside the course portal will be the modules, homework, workshops with guest experts, and all the group call recordings.

What FBS is not:FBS is not a substitute for therapy, any other medical condition, or eating disorder treatment. If you have an eating disorder this could be a supplement on the side of your care and I recommend talking with your treatment team and/or health care professional to determine if this will be supportive to you.
